We all have a story to share and mine is one that I'm happy to call my own. My life has taken me many places but it all began in a small town in southern Idaho called Burley, Idaho. There as the middle of seven children I learned to work hard, be creative serve and love those around me. I worked in the family business doing heating and electrical work on new construction and remodels which provided a great foundation to what would become a career. I would hoard the house plans from the homes we worked on and stash them in my room so I could study them. At the time I didn't have plans to become an interior designer at first but the opportunity soon came as I was accepted into the Interior Design Program at Brigham Young University - Idaho. There I studied and learned until I took leave to be a missionary in Thailand for a year and a half where my eyes were opened wide to the beautiful world and the amazing cultures and designs that fill it.
I returned to BYU-Idaho where I finished with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Interior Design. Kitchen and bath design soon became a favorite and I participated in multiple national design competitions with the National Kitchen and Bath Association winning first place among 500 + contestants. I had the privilege of having two internships while in school as well. The first was with Benjamin Blackwelder Cabinetry, a high end cabinetry company in Orem, Utah where I drafted and designed kitchens from Alpine to Salt Lake City and on to Park City, Utah. It was an amazing opportunity to learn the details under a craftsman of beautiful cabinetry and see incredible homes come to life. I also interned at the Campus Interior Design Department for Brigham Young University. Working with education professionals I worked to create offices, conference rooms and classrooms ordering furniture and furnishings to meet their needs and create spaces in the commercial design field.

After graduating I accepted a position as an interior designer at VCBO Architecture, an architectural firm in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah. There I learned from incredible designers and architects on even more incredible projects designing temples for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From Rome, Italy to Mexico City, Mexico I helped organize, purchase, design and perfect the selections and architectural details for those beautiful places. Being mentored by the designers there that I learned so much about interior architecture, classical proportions and the detail that fuels much of my passion for it now.
It was an incredible experience but one that I realized wasn't quite the right fit for me. I wanted to work hands on with people in their own homes to make them incredible. It's been said that the most important work happens within the walls of our own homes. I realized that's where I wanted to use my talents and so I moved back to Idaho in the fall of 2014 and began working as the interior designer for a local furniture store called Lee's Furniture Floors & More. I learned not only how to work with many different personal styles and how to curate and bring pieces together but also the inner workings of business. I attended furniture markets in Las Vegas making purchases for the store, ran the behind the scenes purchasing and tracking, worked with installers for floor covering and window coverings and so much more.

One day we had a new delivery boy come to work with us and that changed my life
forever. He became my husband in 2016 and now six years later we have three handsome little boys of our own. He helped me take the big leap into entrepreneurship when I started my own business in February of 2020. Little did we know how life would change shortly thereafter but it has been an incredible rewarding experience owning my own business and working with so many wonderful people to create beautiful homes around the Mini-Cassia area. We have been incredibly blessed with so many things. Most recently being a home to call our own in Twin Falls, Idaho. We're excited to set roots in this beautiful place and create a home for our family. I am so excited to put all of my experience and passion for interior design to work in this area.
Thank you for supporting me in this journey! I look forward to helping you create the home you've always dreamed of and using what I've learned to make this world even more beautiful.
Always, Hillaree
